Snomo Days

SnoMo Days is Alberta’s premier non-profit winter festival, bringing the community together for three action-packed days over a single weekend. Celebrating the season with exciting motorized and non-motorized snow sports, family-friendly activities, and a strong sense of tradition, the festival’s website plays a key role in connecting visitors to event schedules, activities, and essential details.
Approaching its 45th anniversary, the SnoMo Days website struggled to meet modern expectations. It wasn’t responsive across devices, making navigation difficult. Low-quality images, a lack of distinctive personality, and a missing winter aesthetic failed to reflect the festival’s vibrant character. Furthermore, content was disorganized, hindering users from easily accessing schedules, locations, and contact details. A thorough digital refresh was essential to restore the festival’s online presence and truly capture the spirit of SnoMo Days.

  • Collaboration: Worked closely with the festival president and the Lions Club team to align the website with their vision.
  • Logo Concept Creation: Proposed new logo concepts to reflect the festival’s spirit, but the team ultimately retained their existing logo to align with pre-existing merchandise.

The improved Snomo website delivered a winter-inspired look that truly captured the event’s seasonal spirit. Interactive pop-ups kept visitors up-to-date with timely announcements, and query loops made event details easy to find at a glance. Custom fields simplified content management, ensuring that information stayed organized and current. With clear contact and volunteer forms encouraging participation, the result was a smoother user experience, increased engagement, and a stronger community around Snomo.
